vyutpattishaastr

bhaasha ke shabdon ke itihaas ke adhyayan ko vyutpattishaastr (etymology) kehte hain. ismein vichaar kiya jaata hai ki koi shabd us bhaasha mein kab aur kaise pravisht hua; kis srot se athva kahaaain se aaya; usaka svaroop aur arth samay ke saath kis tarah parivrtit hua hai. vyutpattishaastr mein shabd ke itihaas ke maadhyam se kisi bhi raashtra, praant evam samaaj ki bhaashik, saanskrutik, aitihaasik evam saamaajik prushthabhoomi abhivyakt hoti hai.

'vyutpatti' ka arth hai 'vishesh utpatti'. kisi shabd ke kramik itihaas ka adhyayan karna, vyutpattishaastr ka vishay hai. ismein shabd ke svaroop aur uske arth ke aadhaar ka adhyayan kiya jaata hai. angreji mein vyutpattishaastr ko 'Etymology' kehte hain. yeh shabd yoonaani bhaasha ke yathaarth arth mein prayukt Etum tatha lekha-jokha ke arth mein prayukt Logos ke yog se bana hai, jiska aashay shabd ke itihaas ka vaastavik arth sampusht karna hai |

bhaaratavarsh mein vyutpattishaastr ka udbhav bahut praacheen hai. jab ved mantron ke arthon ko samajhna sugam naheen raha tab bhaarateeya maneeshiyon dvaara vedon ke klisht shabdon ke sangrah roop mein nighntu granth likhe gaye tatha nighntu granthon ke shabdon ki vyaakhya aur shabd vyutpatti ke gyaan ke liye nirukt granthon ki rachana hui. vedon ke adhyayan ke liye vedaagon ke chh: shaastron mein nirukt shaastr bhi sammilit hain. nirookt shaastr sankhya mein 12 batalaae jaate hain, lekin is samay aachaarya yaask praneet ek maatr nirookt upalabdh hai.

shabdon ki utpatti ka duniya mein sabse pehle gahan vishleshan karne ka shreya Bhaarat ke sanskrut vaiyaakaranon ko jaata hai jinhonne nirukt naam se sabse pehle vaidik shabdon ka nirvachan va vyaakhya ki. sanskrut ke chaar vaiyaakaran sabse prasiddh hain:

sanskrut ke shabdon ki vyutpatti mein uparyukt vaiyaakaranon ke kaaryon ka sandarbh liya jaata hai. sanskrut ke is agrag kaarya ka sandarbh lekar aage chalakar pashchimi vidvaanon ne bhi vyutpattishaastr ka vikaas kiya.
