padaarthon dvaara vidyut dhaara sanchaalit karne ki kshamata ke maap ko vidyut chaalakata (Electrical conductivity) ya vishisht chaalakata (specific conductance) kehte hain. jab kisi padaarth se bane kisi 'chaalak' ke do siron ke beech vibhvaantar aaropit kiya jaata hai to ismein vidyamaan ghoom sakane yogya aavesh pravaahit hone lagte hain jise vidyut dhaara kehte hain. aankik roop se dhaara ghanatv tatha vidyut kshetr ki teevrata ke anupaat ko chaalakata (σ) kehte hain. arthaat -
