vargaboli, peshevar boli, ya jaargan (jargon) kisi vishesh vyavasaaya, kaaryakshetr ya varg dvaara prayog hone vaale vishesh shabdon ko kaha jaata hai. vargaboli isliye viksit ho jaati hain kyonki "har vigyaan ki apni vishesh bhaasha hoti hai kyonki har vigyaan ke apne vishesh vichaar hote hain".[1] kathaboliyon ki tarah vargaboli bhi kisi vishesh varg ke liye aisi cheejon ke liye shabdon se bhari hoti hai jo us varg ke logon mahatva ya roochi rakhati ho. jahaaain kathaboli aupachaarik bhaasha ka bhaag naheen hoti, vahaaain vargaboli aksar sabhya aur aupachaarik prayog ke liye uchit maani jaati hai. varg se baahar vaale aam logon ko aksar vargaboli takaneeki, kathin, vichitr ya na samajh aane waali prateet hoti hai, jabki varg ke sadasya usaka prayog aasaani se karte hain.[2] udaaharan ke liye sanganakon (kampyootaron) se parichit log praay: 'bit', 'baait', 'raim', 'seepeeyoo' aur 'heksaadesiml' jaise vargaboli shabdon ka prayog karte hain jinhein sanganakon se aparichit log bilkul naheen samajh sakte.
