hamaare desh ke dviteeya kintu adviteeya raashtrapati dau॰ sarvapalli Radhakrishnan ke janm din (5 sitmbar) ko prativrsh 'shikshak diwas' ke roop mein manaaya jaata hai. is din samast desh mein Bhaarat sarkaar dvaara shreshth shikshakon ko puraskaar bhi pradaan kiya jaata hai.

yadyapi unhein 1931 mein british saamraajya dvaara "sar" ki upaadhi[1] pradaan ki gayi thi lekin svatantrata praapti ke pashchaat usaka auchitya dau॰ Radhakrishnan ke liye samaapt ho chuka tha. jab ve uparaashtrapati ban gaye to svatantr Bhaarat ke pratham raashtrapati dau॰ raajeindr prasaad ji ne 1954 mein unhein unki mahaan daarshanik va shaikshik upalabdhiyon ke liye desh ka sarvochch alankaran Bhaarat ratn pradaan kiya.
