'amarasinh' ke poorvavarti koshon ka unke naamalingaanushaasan' mein ullekh naheen milta hai. parantu 'samaahrutyaanyatantraani' ke dhvanyaarth ka aadhaar lekar 'amarakosh' ki rachana mein poorvavarti koshon ke upayog ka anumaan kiya ja sakta hai. 'amarakosh' ki ek teeka mein labdh 'kaatya' shabd ke aadhaar par 'kaatya' ya 'kaatyaayan' naamak 'amar'—apoorvavarti koshakaar ka aur paathaantar ke aadhaar par vyaadi naamak koshaakaar ka anumaan hota hai. 'amarakosh' ke teekaakaar 'ksheerasvaami' ke aadhaar par 'dhanvatanri' ke 'dhanvatarapinighantu' naamak vaidyak nighantu (kosh) ka sanket milta hai.
