rakhaain raajya (barmi: ရaaခaaိaaုaaငaa်aaပaaြaaညaa်aaနaaယaa်) barma ke dakshin-pashchim mein sthit ek raajya hai. yeh Bengal ki khaadi ke saath tatavarti hai aur pashchimottar mein Bangladesh se seemaavarti hai.[1]

yeh Bengal ki khaadi ke poorvi tat par chatagaanv (chitaagaang) se negres antareep tak vistrut hai. is pradesh ka pradhaan nagar akayaab hai. praant chaar jilon mein vibhkt hai.

chaar mukhya nadiyaaain naaf, maayoo, kaladan aur lemaro hain. kaladan gahari hai aur ismein chhote jahaaj 50 meal bheetar tak ja sakte hain anya nadiyaaain bahut chhoti hain, kyonki ve pahaad jinse ye nikli hain, samudra ke nikat hain. parvat ko paar karne ke liye kai darre (paas) hain.

pradesh pahaadi hai aur keval dasham bhoobhaag mein kheti ho paati hai. mukhya fasal dhaan hai. fal, tanbaakoo, mircha aadi bhi utpann kiye jaate hain. jungle bhi hain, parantu varsha itni adhik (ausatan 120 se 130 inch tak) hoti hai ki saagavaan yahaaain naheen ho paata.

araakaanavaasiyon ki sabhyata ati praacheen hai. lokokti ke anusaar 2,666 E. poo. se aaj tak ke sabhi raajaaon ke naam gyaat hain. kabhi mugal aur kabhi purtagaali logon ne kuchh bhaagon par adhikaar jama liya tha, parantu ve sheegra hi maar bhagaae gaye. san‌ 1826 se yahaaain angreji raajya raha. January, san‌ 1948 se myaanmaar pun: svatantr ho gaya aur ab vahaaain ganatantr raajya hai. araakaan ka pradhaan nagar pehle araakaan tha, parantu asvaasthyaprad hone ke kaaran ab akayaab pradhaan nagar ho gaya hai.

araakaananivaasiyon ki deshi bhaasha aur rasmarivaajon mein anya baramaanivaasiyon se paryaapt bhinnata hai, parantu ye bhi bauddhadharm ke hi anuyaayi hain.
