raamaanand sampradaaya ke pravartak sami raamaanandaachaarya ka janm samvat 1236 mein hua tha. janm ke samay aur sthaan ke baare mein theek-theek jaankaari upalabdh naheen hai. shodhakartaaon ne jo jaankaari jutaai hai uske anusaar raamaanand ji ke pita ka naam punyasadan aur maata ka naam susheela devi tha. unki maata nitya veneemaadhav Bhagwan ki pooja kiya karti theen. ek din ve mandir mein darshan karne gain to unhein divyoni sunaai di - he maata putravati ho. unke aaainchal mein ek maala aur daahinaart shankh prakat hua. vah prasaad paakar bahut khush huin aur patidev ko saari baat bataai.

aadhi raat ke pashchaat ek din jab e ganga snaan ke liye gaye to kalayug raaj unke saamane prakat huye. unka panch paatr sone ka tha. kalayug raaj usamein ja baithe. lekin aachaarya ko iska pata chal gaya. jab aachaarya ne unase poochha ki aap meri pooja mein dhni kyon daalte ho to kalayug raaj pratyaksh hokar Ram mantra ki deeksha maangane lage. raamaanandaachaarya ji ne apna sbha chhod unhein mantra deeksha di. raamaanand ji ne apne jeen kaal mein anekon dukhiyon aur peediton ko apne aarsheeaad se theek kiya jinmein Rajkumar ka kshaya rog, raidaas ko deeksha, kabeer ko aarsheeaad, naye yogi shri hari naath ki peeda, braahman kanya beeni ka udghaar jasi anekon chamatkaarik ghatanaayein shaamil theen. gaganaudhgadh ke raaja peepaaji ko mantra deeksha dekar unhonne aishnab sant bana diya. unhonne apne jeen kaal mein yanon se hinduon ki raksha ki. unke atyaachaaron ko rukaane ke liye Delhi ke baadshah se sandhi ki. aachaarya ne dharm prachaar ke liye kaashi se chalakar gaganauragadh, chitrakoot, janakapur, gangaasaagar, jagannaathapuri aadi sthaanon ki yaatra ki. aaj unheen ke tapobal se raamaanand sampradaaya ka shiaal panth chal raha hai.

shri raamaanand madhyayugeen udaar chetna ke janmadaata, bhakti aandolan ke pravartak, tatha tatkaaleen dhaarmik tatha samaajik chetna ke maargadarshak the. unhonne Bhaarat ki saanskrutik jeevan dhaara ko akshunya pravaahit karne mein mahatvapoorn yogadaan kiya. ve vaastav mein kabeer tatha tulasi ke preranaasrot the. shri raamaanand jis yug mein hue vah Bhaarat ke itihaas mein dharm, sanskruti tatha samaaj ke hru◌aaas ka kaal tha. islaam ki aandhi se bhaarateeya samaaj abhi sanbhal na paaya tha. taimoor ke aakraman se lekar baabar ke aakraman tak samooche samaaj mein raajaneetik aur saanskrutik paraabhav ka kaal tha. shri raamaanand ki ek mahatvapoorn den raamabhakti ko ek vyaapak saanskrutik aandolan ka aadhaar banaakar raashtreeya jaagaran karna tha. yadyapi alavaar saahitya mein raamabhakti ka varnan dakshin Bhaarat mein 9veen shataabdi ke praarambh mein ho gaya tha. parantu uttar Bhaarat mein iska prachaar mukhyat: gyaarahaveen shataabdi mein hua. raamaanuj ne gyaarahaveen shataabdi mein Krishna bhakti ki upaasana ka prachalan kiya, vahaan shri raamaanand ko aage chalakar uttari Bhaarat mein raamabhakti ka shreya praapt hai. sheegra hi raamabhakti ki ganga desh ke ek kone se doosare kone tak pravaahit hone lagi. Ram ke naam ne anek saamaajik aur saanskrutik vyaadhiyon ke liye raamabaan aushadhi ka kaam kiya. raamabhakti uttar tatha dakshin mein sampoorn desh ki ekta ko aabaddh karne mein sahaayak siddh hua. isne samaaj mein aasha, aatm vishvaas tatha svaabhimaan ka bhaav jaagrat kiya.

shri raamaanand ne raamabhakti ke maadhyam se ek saamaajik kraanti ka sootrapaat kiya. saamaajik vishmataaon aur baahari aadambaron mein jakade samaaj mein punarutthaan ki or pehla kadam badhaane vaale raamaanand the. raamabhakti ke maadhyam se unhonne samaaj ke vibhinn vargon mein saamaajik samarasata tatha samanvaya ki bhaavana paida karne ka ek safal prayaas kiya. shri raamaanand ne apne prasiddh granth shri vaishnavamataaj bhaaskar mein prachalit oonch-neech ki bhaavana par kroor prahaar kiya.

saath hi shri raamaanand ne ek prabhaavi tatha adbhut shishya parampara ka nirmaan kiya. vishv ke samooche itihaas mein kisi bhi vyakti ne utane shreshth tatha samarpit shishyon ka nirmaan naheen kiya jitna raamaanand ne. raamaanand ke baarah prasiddh shishya bhakti aandolan ke mukhya prachaarak bane. unki raamabhakti ki dhaara do pravaahon mein vibhaajit hui thi. ek niraakaar nirgun raamabhakti mein tatha doosari saakaar sagun avataari raamabhakti mein. ek ka pratinidhitv kiya kabeer ne tatha doosare ko vyaapak svaroop pradaan kiya tulasi ne.

kraantikaari kabeer ne raamaanand se nirgun Ram tatha bhakti ka rahasya seekha. yadyapi Ram ki avataaravaad ki dhaarana ko unhonne sveekaar naheen kiya, parantu ishvar ko vrahm ke roop mein sveekaar kiya. iske pramaan shri guroogranth saahab mein unke ek pad se hota hai jo usamein diya gaya hai. kabeer par raamaanand ka prabhaav praaya: sabhi vidvaanon ne sveekaar kiya hai ki unhonne bhakti ke liye abhaya ka paath raamaanand se hi seekha. kabeer granthaavali mein Ram ka naam 217 baar aaya hai, kabeer ki bhakti raamaanand ki bhaanti jaati bhed athva varg bhed se oopar hai. ismein tanik bhi sandeh naheen hai yadi raamaanand va kabeer hindu samaaj ke upekshit janon mein ek aasha aur bharose ki neenv na daalte to unamein se adhiktar musalmaan ho gaye hote. mahaakavi tulasi ne raamaanand ki bhakti tatha advait vedaant ka samanvaya kar sagun raamabhakti ka paath vishv ko padhaaya. vastut: samaaj ke prabuddh vichaar tatha jan saamaanya ke vichaaron ka adbhut samanvaya tulasi ke darshan mein drushtigochar hota hai. jahaan shankar ka advaitavaad prabuddh vichaar ka parichaayak hai, vahaan raamaanand ke bhakti sambandhi vichaaron mein jan saamaanya ki bhaavana ka pratinidhitv hai. donon ka adbhut samanvaya tulasi mein dikhlaai deta hai. isi kaaran unka prasiddh granth raamacharitmaanas vishv ke mahaanatam granthon mein maana jaata hai. dharm ki maryaada ko mahatva dete hue unhonne bhakti ki dhaara prabhaavit ki.

at: nishkarsh roop mein yeh kaha ja sakta hai ki shri raamaanandaachaarya ko hi yeh shreya hai ki unhonne prem aur raamabhakti ko uttar Bhaarat mein janavyaapi ek saanskrutik aandolan ka svaroop pradaan kiya. raamabhakti ke maadhyam se unhonne desh mein nav jaagaran kiya. unhonne bhaarateeya samaaj mein aatmavishvaas va saamaajik chetna jagaai. iske falasvaroop dharm mat parivartan ki prakriya avaruddh hui. jan bhaasha ke maadhyam se unke dvaara faila yeh aandolan sheegra hi bhakti aandolan ke roop mein vyakt hua aur jise kabeer tatha tulasi ne rakshaatmak ke saath-saath aakraamak svaroop pradaan kiya. vahi raamabhakti ki avirl dhaara aaj bhi bhaarateeya samaaj ko samete hue prerana va raashtreeya jaagaran ka srot bani hui hai.
