meemaansa sanpradaaya tatha meemaansa darshan ka sootr ke roop mein sankalan bhagavaan‌ jaimini ne kiya hai. iske sambandh mein do baatein hai----

  • (1) bhagavaan‌ jaimini ne us samay mein maharshiyon ki jo vichaar dhaara thi usako lekar kisi ko poorvapaksh mein, kisi ko siddhaant ke roop mein rakhakar tatha apne abhipraaya ko milaakar meemaansa darshan banaaya. sabhi darshanashaastron ki yahi reeti hai.
  • (2) brahma se lekar vyaas tak sankraat guru parampara ko jaimini ne praapt kiya. yeh 'nyaaya ratnaakar' mein uddhrut hai. kriyaanaantaryaroopi va guruparvakramopi va sadansabhaavayostasya vishesho nopalamyate.'
