patajhadi ya parnapaati (deciduous) aise paudhon aur vrukshon ko kaha jaata hai jo har varsh kisi mausam mein apne patte gira dete hain. uttar Bhaarat mein tatha samasheetoshn (temparet) kshetron mein yeh sharad ritu mein hota hai, jis kaaran us mausam ko 'patajhad' bhi kaha jaata hai. anya kshetron mein kuchh vruksh apne patte garmi ke mausam mein kho dete hain. aksar ye patte girne se pehle sookhakar laal, peele ya bhoore ho jaate hain jo kai pradeshon mein yeh saanskrutik roop se mahatvapoorn hai aur kala va saahitya mein aksar darshaaya jaata hai. shahatoot, anaar, aaainvala, bhoorj, sheesham, anjeer, kunbi, seb aur amalataas patajhadi pedon ke kuchh udahaaran hain.[1]
