inki khoj is prekshan se bahut kuchh juङai hui hain, ki rajat neereya lavan (silver kloraaid) dhoop paङaane par kaale paङ jaate hain. 1801 mein johann vilhaim ritr ne ek vishisht prekshan kiya, ki baingani prakaash ke pare (oopar) apratyaksh kirnein, rajat neereya ke lavan mein bheege kaagaj ko kaala kar deteen hai. usane unhein di-oksidaaijing kirnein kaha jisse ki unki rasaayaneeya kriyaaon par bal diya ja sake saath hi inhein varnakram ke doosare sire par upasthit ooshm kirnon se pruthak pahachaana ja sake. kaalaantar mein ek saral shabd raasaayanik kirnein prayog hua. jo ki unneesaveen shataabdi tak chala, jab jaakar donon ke hi naam badle aur paraabainganievam adhorakt' kahalaae.[1]

naam baingani se pare yaani paraabaingani isliye paङaa kyonki ye pratyaksh prakaash ki sarvaadhik aavrutti evam nyoonatam tarang dairghya vaale baingani se bhi adhik aavrutti waali, saath hi ; kam tarang dairghya waali hoteen hain. inhein aaingrejee mein ultra vauyalet reyj kaha jaata hai.
