ooainchaai (angreji: Elavation) vah maap hai jo kisi dharaataleeya bindu ki (sthaan ki) kisi sandarbh tal se oordhvaadhar doori ya ooainchaai bataati hai; jismein sandarbh tal bahudha samudra tal athva jyoid (Geoid) hota hai.[1]

Bhaarat mein ooainchaaiyaaain Madras (ab chennai) ke samudra tat se maapi jaateen rahi hain aur yaheen se great aark sarve aarambh hua tha.[4] ab Bhaarat ki ooainchaaiyaaain evarest-1930 sandarbh tal se maapi jaati hain jiska aadhaar bindu madhya pradesh mein kalyaanapur ke paas hai.[5]
