mainganeej ek raasaayanik tatv hai jo raasaayanik najriye se sankraman dhaatu samooh ka sadasya hai. prakruti mein yeh shuddh roop mein naheen milta balki anya tatvon ke saath bane yaugikon mein milta hai, jinmein aksar lohe ke yaugik shaamil hote hain. shuddh karne ke baad iska rang saleti hota hai aur agar ise ispaat mein milaaya jaaye to ispaat jng naheen khaata hai. okseejan ke saath milkar iske jo aayan hote hain vah paramainganet (permanganate, MnO4−) kahalaate hain, aur jab yeh potaishiym jaisi kshaar dhaatuon ya kshaareeya paarthiv dhaatuon ke saath yaugik banaate hain to vah bahut hi okseekaarak (oxidizing) hote hain (masalan potaishiym paramainganet). manushyon va anya jeevon ko thodi maatra mein mainganeej apne aahaar mein zaroori hota hai lekin us se adhik maatra mein yeh vishaila saabit hota hai.[1][2]
