maaya shabd ka prayog ek se adhik arthon mein hota hai. aisa prateet hota hai ki vichaar mein parivartan ke saath shabd ka arth badalta gaya. jab ham kisi chakit kar denevaali ghatna ko dekhte hain, to use ishvar ki maaya kah dete hain. yahaaain maaya ka arth shakti hai. jaadoogar apni chaturaai se padaarthon ko vipreet roop mein dikhaata hai, padaarthon ke abhaav mein bhi unhein dikha deta hai. yeh usaki maaya hai. yahaaain ka arth mithya gyaan ya aise gyaan ka vishay hai. mithya gyaan do prakaar ka hai -- bhram aur matibhram. bhram mein gyaan ka vishay vidyamaan hai parantu vaastavik roop mein dikhaata naheen, matibhram mein baahar kuchh hota hi nahi, ham kalpana ko pratyaksh gyaan samajh lete hain.

ham mein se har ek kabhi na kabhi bhram ya patibhram ka shikaar hota hai, kabhi drashta aur drusht ke daramiyaan parada pad jaata hai. kabhi vaataavaran mithya gyaan ka kaaran ho jaata hai vyakti ki haalat mein ise avidya kehte hai. maaya vyaapak avidya hai jismein sabhi manushya fainse hain. kuchh vichaarak ise bhram ke roop mein dekhte hain, kuchh matibhram ke roop mein. pashchimi darshan mein can't aur Berkeley is bhed ko vyakt karte hain.

Berkeley ne kaha ki jo kuchh apradhaan gunon ke maanavi hone ke paksh mein kaha jaata hai, vahi pradhaan gunon ke maanavi hone ke paksh mein kaha ja sakta hai. padaarth gunasamooh hi hai aur sabhi gun maanavi hain, samast satta chetanon aur vichaaron se bani hai. hamaare upalabdh (Sense Experience) ham par thope ya aaropit kiye jaate hain, parantu ye prakruti ke aaghaat ke parinaam naheen, ishvar ki kriya ke fal hain.

Bhaarat mein maayaavaad ka prasiddh vivran hai-- "brahm satyam, jagat‌ mithya". is vyavastha mein jeevaatma ka sthaan kahaaain hai? yeh bhi jagat‌ ka ansh hai, jnyaaata naheen, aap aabhaas hai. brahm maaya se aapt hota hai aur apne shuddh svaroop ko chhodkar ishvar ban jaata hai. ishvar, jeev aur baahm padaarth, praapt brahm ke hi teen prakaashan hain. brahm ke atirikt to kuchh hi naheen, yeh saara khel hota kyon hai? ek vichaar ke anusaar maayaavi apni dillagi ke liye khel khelta hai, doosare vichaar ke anusaar maaya ek parada hai jo shuddh brahm ko dhak deti hai. pehle vichaar ke anusaar maaya brahm ki shakti hai, doosare ke anusaar usaki ashakti ki prateek hai. saamaanya vichaar ke anusaar maayaavaad ka siddhaant upanishdon, brahmasootron aur bhagavad geeta mein pratipaadit hai. iska prasaar pramukh roop se shankaraachaarya ne kiya. upanishdon mein maayaavaad ka spasht varnan naheen, maaya shabd bhi ek do baar hi prayukt hua hai. brahmasootron mein shankar ne advait ko dekha, raamaanuj ne ise naheen dekha aur bahutere vichaarakon ke liye raamaanuj ki vyaakhya adhik vishvaas karne ke yogya hai. bhagavadgeeta daarshanik kavita hai, darshan naheen. shankar ki sthiti praaya: bhaashyakaar ki hai. maayaavaad ke samarthan mein gaudpaad ki kaarikaaon ka sthaan vishesh mahatva ka hai, ispar kuchh vichaar karein.

svapn mein jo kuchh dikhaai deta hai, vah shareer ke andar hi sthit hota hai, vahaaain uske liye paryaapt sthaan naheen. svapn dekhanevaala svapn mein door ke sthaanon mein jaakar drushya dekhta hai, parantu jo kaal ismein lagta hai vah un sthaanon mein pahuainchane ke liye paryaapt naheen aur jaagane par vah vahaaain vidyamaan naheen hota.

desh ke sankoch ke kaaran hamein maanana padta hai ki svapn mein dekhe hue padaarth vastugat astitv naheen rakhate, kaal ka sankoch bhi bataata hai ki svapn ke drushya vaastavik naheen. iske baad gaudapaad kehta hai ki svapn aur jaagrut avasthaaon mein koi bhed naheen, daanon ek samaan asthir hain. vartamaan prateeti se poorv ka abhaav sveekrut hai, iske peechhesh aane vaale anubhav ka bhaav abhi hua naheen; jo aadi aur ant mein naheen hai, vah vartamaan mein bhi vaisa hi hai "jis prakaar svapn aur maaya dekhe jaate hain, jaise gandharvanagar dikhta hai, usi tarah panditon ne vedaant mein is jagat‌ ko dekha hai.'

gaudpaad ke tark mein do bhaag hain--

  1. svapn ke drushya mithya hain, kyonki unke liye paryaapt desh aur kaal vidyamaan naheen.
  2. svapn tatha jaagaran avasthaaon mein maulik bhed naheen svapn mein desh aur kaal ko aparyaapt kehne mein gaudpaad jaagaran ke anubhav ko maapak aur kasauti maan raha hai. usaki yeh pratijnyaa ki svapn aur jaagaran mein koi maulik bhed naheen, is se khandit ho jaati hai.


jaagaran aur svapn mein kai maulik bhed hain--

  1. jaagaran ka anubhav mool hai, svapn ka anubhav usaki nakal hai. janm ka andha svapn mein dekh naheen sakta, bahara sun naheen sakta.
  2. svapn mein chitron ka sanyog anirneet hota hai, jaagaran mein yeh nirneet bhi hota hai. svapn kalpana ka khel hai, ismein buddhi kaam naheen karti. svapn roopak aur kalpana ki bhaasha ka prayog karta hai, jaagaran mein pratyayon ki bhaasha bhi prayukt hoti hai.
  3. svapn mein pratyek vyakti apni niji duniya mein vichrata hai, jaagaran mein ham saajhi duniya meein rahate hain. is doosari duniya mein vyavastha pramukh hai. pratidin bhraman mein anek padaarthon ko ek hi kram mein sthit dekhta hooain, mere saathi bhi unhein usi kram mein dekhte hain; doosari or koi do manushya ek hi svapn naheen dekhte, na hi ek manushya ke svapn ek doosare ko duharaate hain.

is jagat mein ek hi tatv hain- ishvar, baaki jo bhi drushya hain vah hi maaya hain,jootha hain. kaise?vah isaliya kyonki hamaare shareer ke saath, athva sansaar mein jo kuchh bhi hota hain , iska prabhaav hamapar arthaat ham "aatma svarup, poorn brahm" naheen padta ya pad sakta.shaareerik du:kh praarabdh bhogane ke liya hi hain,agar koi gyaan mein rahakar usase udaaseen rahe to yeh usaka gyaan hain jo ki du:kh nivrutti mein sahaayak hain.
