kloreen (yoonaani: χaaλaaωaaρaaóaaς (khloros), 'feeka hara') ek raasaayanik tatv hai, jiski parmaanu sankhya 17 tatha sanket Cl hai. rinaatmak aayan kloraaid ke roop mein yeh saadhaaran namak mein upasthit hoti hai aur saagar ke jal mein ghule lavan mein prachur maatra mein pai jaati hai.[2] saamaanya taapamaan aur daab par kloreen (Cl2 ya "daaikloreen") gas ke roop mein paayi jaati hai. iska prayog taranataalon ko keetaanurahit banaane mein kiya jaata hai. yeh ek hailojan hai aur aavart saarani mein samooh 17 (poorv mein samooh 7, 7e ya 7bi) mein rakhi gayi hai. yeh ek peele aur hare rang ki hava se halki praakrutik gas jo ek nishchit daab aur taapamaan par drav mein badal jaati hai. yeh pruthvi ke saath hi samudra mein bhi pai jaati hai. kloreen paudhon aur manushyon ke liye aavashyak hai. iska prayog kaagaj aur kapde banaane mein kiya jaata hai. ismein yeh bleeching agent (dhulaai karne vaale/ rang udaane vaale dravya) ke roop mein kaam mein laai jaati hai. vaayu ki upasthiti mein yeh jal ke saath kriya kar haaidroklorik aml ka nirmaan karti hai. moolat: gas hone ke kaaran yeh khaadya shrrunkhala ka bhaag naheen hai. yeh gas svaasthya ke liye haanikaarak hoti hai. taranataal mein iska prayog keetaanunaashak ki tarah kiya jaata hai. saadhaaran dhulaai mein ise bleeching agent roop mein prayog karte hain. bleech aur keetaanunaashak banaane ke kaarkhaane mein kaam karne vaale logon mein isse prabhaavit hone ki aashanka adhik rahati hai. yadi koi lambe samay tak iske sampark mein rahata hai to uske svaasthya par haanikaarak prabhaav padta hai.[2] iski tej gandh aankhon, tvacha aur shvasan tantr ke liye haanikaarak hoti hai. isse gale mein ghaav, khaansi aur aankhon va tvacha mein jalan ho sakti hai, isse saans lene mein samasya hoti hai.[3]

vishv mein lagbhag 25 hajaar log pratidin paani se hone vaale rogon se mar jaate hain. ise rokane ke liye paani ko kloreen se saaf karna bahut aavashyak hai.[4] 1991 mein peroo mein sarkaar ne paani ki saplaai mein kloreen ke prayog par rok laga di thi. kloreen se poore dakshin Africa mein haija fail gaya tha, jismein hajaaron log maare gaye the. kintu iske achhe prayog bhi hote hain. kloreen aushadhi nirmaan mein prayog hone wala ek mahatvapoorn aushadheeya ghatak bhi hai.[2] maleriya, khaansi, taaifaaid aur lyookemiya aadi ke upachaar ke liye prayog hone waali davaaon mein kloreen milaai jaati hai. paani ke shuddhikran ke liye iska prayog sabse jyaada kiya jaata hai. kai deshon ne paani ke shuddhikran ke liye iske prayog ke liye kaanooni niyam bhi bana rakhe hain. kloreen jal ke koleefaarm jeevaanu ko nasht to karta hai kintu usaka adhik prayog svaasthya ke liye haanikaarak hota hai. jal se hone vaale rogon ka pramukh kaaran usamein paae jaane vaale koleefaarm jeevaanu hote hai. isko nasht karne ke liye paani mein kloreen milaaya jaata hai. paani mein kloreen ki sthiti ki jaanch antim chhor par pahunchane vaale paani ke maadhyam se ki jaati hai. tel par O ti taist positive milne par hi maana jaata hai ki sahi maatra mein kloreen mili hai. tel tak kloreenayukt paani pahunchaane ke liye jal sansthaan anek sthaanon par kloreen milaane vaale dojar laga kar rakhate hain. sabse pehle nirdhaarit maatra mein kloreen jal sansthaan mein mil jaati hai. uske baad har mohalle mein jalaapoorti karne vaale jal-pumpon se bhi kloreen mila kar aage bheja jaata hai. kaashi hindu vishvavidyaalaya ke visheshagyon ke anusaar[5] paani mein kailshiym haaipo kloraaid milaai jaati hai jo haanikaarak siddh hoti hai. yeh shareer ke okseejan ke free redikl ko samaapt kar deti hai. paani mein kailshiym haaipo kloraaid ke kaaran paani rakhane vaale bartanon mein kailshiym ki safed parat jama ho jaati hai. isse jalaapoorti ke paaipon aur bhandaaran bartanon, tankiyon mein bhi kailshiym ke kan jama ho jaate hain. Indian maidikl association ke anusaar[6] kailshiym haaipo kloraaid ek lavan hota hai aur usaka dushprabhaav bhi hota hai. iski nishchit se adhik maatra aanton ki androoni parat, gaistrik myukosa mein jalan hai. isse androoni amlon ke sraav mein vruddhi hoti hai. iske kaaran aml ke badhne se gas banane, alsar, baalon ke jhadne, tvacha ki chamak mein kami aane jaise dushprabhaav dikhaai dete hain.[7]
