kaamadev ko hindu shaastron mein prem aur kaam ka devata maana gaya hai.[2] unka svaroop yuva aur aakarshak hai. ve vivaahit hain aur rati unki patni hain. ve itne shaktishaali hain ki unke liye kisi prakaar ke kavach ki kalpana naheen ki gayi hai. unke anya naamon mein raagavrunt, anang, kandarp, manamath, manasija, madan, ratikaant, pushpavaan, pushpadhanv aadi prasiddh hain. kaamadev, hindu devi shri ke putr aur Krishna ke putr pradyumn, ka avataar hain.[2] kaamadev ke aadhyaatmik roop ko hindu dharm mein vaishnav anuyaayiyon dvaara Krishna bhi maana jaata hai.

kaamadev ke astr shastr

kaamadev ka dhanush prakruti ke sabse jyaada majaboot upaadaanon mein se ek hai. yeh dhanush manushya ke kaam mein sthir-chanchalata jaise virodhaabhaasi alankaaron se yukt hai. iseeliye iska ek kona sthirta ka aur ek kona chanchalata ka prateek hota hai. vasant, kaamadev ka mitr hai isliye kaamadev ka dhanush foolon ka bana hua hai. is dhanush ki kamaan svar viheen hoti hai. yaani, kaamadev jab kamaan se teer chhodte hain, to usaki aavaaj naheen hoti. iska matlab yeh arth bhi samjha jaata hai ki kaam mein shaaleenata jaroori hai. teer kaamadev ka sabse mahatvapoorn shastr hai. yeh jis kisi ko bedhata hai uske pehle na to aavaaj karta hai aur na hi shikaar ko sanbhalane ka mauka deta hai. is teer ke teen dishaaon mein teen kone hote hain, jo kramash: teen lokon ke prateek maane gaye hain. inmein ek kona brahm ke aadheen hai jo nirmaan ka prateek hai. yeh srushti ke nirmaan mein sahaayak hota hai. doosra kona vishnu ke aadheen hai, jo omkaar ya udar poorti (pet bharne) ke liye hota hai. yeh manushya ko karm karne ki prerana deta hai. kaamadev ke teer ka teesara kona mahesh (Shiv) ke aadheen hota hai, jo makaar ya moksh ka prateek hai. yeh manushya ko mukti ka maarg bataata hai. yaani, kaam na sirf srushti ke nirmaan ke liye jaroori hai, balki manushya ko karm ka maarg bataane aur ant mein moksh pradaan karne ka raasta sujhaata hai. kaamadev ke dhanush ka lakshya vipreet lingi hota hai. isi vipreet lingi aakarshan se bandhakar poori srushti sanchaalit hoti hai. kaamadev ka ek lakshya khud kaam hain, jinhein purush maana gaya hai, jabki doosra rati hain, jo stri roop mein jaani jaati hain. kavach suraksha ka prateek hai. kaamadev ka roop itna balashaali hai ki yadi iski suraksha naheen ki gayi to viplav la sakta hai. iseeliye yeh kavach kaamadev ki suraksha se nibddh hai. yaani surakshit kaam praakrutik vyavahaar keliye aavashyak maana gaya hai, taaki saamaajik buraaiyon aur bhayankar beemaariyon ko door rakha ja sake.

kaamadev ke pramukh ang

itihaas kathaaon mein kaamadev ke nayan, bhaun aur maathe ka vistrut varnan milta hai. unke nayanon ko baan ya teer ki sanjnyaa di gayi hai. shaareerik roop se nayanon ka prateekaarth theek unke shastr teer ke samaan maana gaya hai. unki bhavon ko kamaan ka sanjnyaa di gayi hai. ye shaant hoti hain, lekin ishaaron mein hi apni baat kah jaati hain. inhein kisi sang ya sahaare ki bhi aavashyakta naheen hoti. kaamadev ka maatha dhanush ke samaan hai, jo apne bheetar chanchalata samete hota hai lekin yeh poori tarah sthir hota hai. maatha poore shareer ka sarvochch hissa hai, yeh disha nirdesh deta hai.

kaamadev ki savaari

haathi ko kaamadev ka vaahan maana gaya hai. vaise kuchh shaastron mein kaamadev ko tote par baithe hue bhi bataaya gaya hai, lekin ise mool avadhaarana mein shaamil naheen kiya gaya hai. prakruti mein haathi ekamaatr aisa praani hai, jo chaaron dishaaon mein svachhand vichran karta hai. maadak chaal se chalne wala haathi teen dishaaon mein dekh sakta hai aur peechhe ki taraf halki si bhi aahat aane par sanbhal sakta hai. haathi kaanon se har taraf ka sun sakta hai aur apni soond se chaaron dishaaon mein vaar kar sakta hai. theek isi prakaar kaamadev ka charitra bhi dekhne mein aata hai. ye svachhand roop se chaaron dishaaon mein ghoomate hain aur kisi bhi disha mein teer chhodne ko tatpar rahate hain. kaamadev kisi bhi tarah ke svar ko turant bhaanpane ka maadda bhi rakhate hain.
