peshevar photographer vinod Chopra (naseeruddeen shaah) aur sudheer mishra (ravi vaasavaani) Mumbai mein ek photo studio kholte hain lekin unki dukaan chalti naheen hai. ek vinaashakaari shuruaat ke baad, unako "khabaradaar" prakaashan ke sampaadak dvaara kuchh kaam diya jaata hai. yeh prakaashan shahar ke ameer aur prasiddh logon ke apavaadaatmak jeevan ko ujaagar karta hai. ve donon sampaadak shobha sen (bhakti barve) ke saath milkar ek beimaan bildar taraneja (pankaj Kapoor), aur bhrasht nagar nigam aayukt di melo (sateesh shaah) ke beech chal rahe bhrashtaachaar ko prakaash mein laane ke liye ek kahaani par kaam shuroo kar dete hain. apni jaanch ke dauraan unako pata lagta hai ki ek aur bildar aahooja (om puri) bhi is ghotaale mein shaamil hai.
