ganesh shivji aur paarvati ke putr hain. unka vaahan mooshak hai. ganon ke svaami hone ke kaaran unka ek naam ganapati bhi hai. jyotish mein inko ketu ka devata maana jaata hai aur jo bhi sansaar ke saadhan hain, unke svaami shri ganeshaji hain. haathi jaisa sir hone ke kaaran unhein gajaanan bhi kehte hain. ganesh ji ka naam hindu shaastro ke anusaar kisi bhi kaarya ke liye pehle poojya hai. isliye inhein aadipoojya bhi kehte hai. ganesh ki upasana karne wala sampradaaya gaanapateya kahalaate hai.

chaturbhuj ganesh

ganapati aadidev hain jinhonne har yug mein alag avataar liya. unki shaareerik sanrachana mein bhi vishisht va gahra arth nihit hai. shivmaanas pooja mein shri ganesh ko pranav (Om) kaha gaya hai. is ekaakshar brahm mein oopar wala bhaag ganesh ka mastak, neeche ka bhaag udar, chandrabindu laddoo aur maatra sooaind hai.

chaaron dishaaon mein sarvavyaapakata ki prateek unki chaar bhujaaeain hain. ve lanbodar hain kyonki samast charaachar srushti unke udar mein vichrati hai. bade kaan adhik graahyashakti va chhoti-paini aaainkhein sookshm-teekshn drushti ki soochak hain. unki lambi naak (soond) mahaabuddhitv ka prateek hai.

katha

praacheen samay mein sumeroo parvat par saubhari rishi ka atyant manoram aashram tha. unki atyant roopavati aur pativrata patni ka naam manomayi tha. ek din rishi lakdi lene ke liye van mein gaye aur manomayi gruh-kaarya mein lag gayi. usi samay ek dusht kaunch naamak gandharv vahaaain aaya aur usane anupam laavanyavati manomayi ko dekha to vyaakul ho gaya.

kaunch ne rishi-patni ka haath pakad liya. roti aur kaaainpati hui rishi patni usase daya ki bheekh maaaingane lagi. usi samay saubhari rishi aa gaye. unhonne gandharv ko shraap dete hue kaha 'toone chor ki tarah meri sahadharmini ka haath pakada hai, is kaaran too mooshak hokar dharati ke neeche aur chori karke apna pet bharega.

kaaainpate hue gandharv ne muni se praarthana ki-'dayaalu muni, avivek ke kaaran mainne aapki patni ke haath ka sparsh kiya tha. mujhe kshama kar dein. rishi ne kaha mera shraap vyarth naheen hoga, tathaapi dvaapar mein maharshi paraashar ke yahaaain ganapati Dave gajamukh putr roop mein prakat honge (har yug mein ganeshaji ne alag-alag avataar liye) tab too unka vaahan ban jaaega, jisse devagan bhi tumhaara sammaan karne lageinge.

ganesh ko janm na dete hue maata paarvati ne unke shareer ki rachana ki. us samay unka mukh saamaanya tha. maata paarvati ke snaanaagaar me ganesh ki rachana ke baad maata ne unako ghar ki paharedaari karne ka aadesh diya. maata ne kaha ki jab tak vah snaan kar rahi hain tab tak ke liye ganesh kisi ko bhi ghar mein pravesh na karne de. tabhi dwaar par Bhagwan shankar aae aur bole "putr yeh mera ghar hai mujhe pravesh karne do." ganesh ke rokane par prabhu ne ganesh ka sar dhad se alag kar diya. ganesh ko bhoomi mein nirjeev pada dekh maata paarvati vyaakul ho utheen. tab Shiv ko unki truti ka bodh hua aur unhonne ganesh ke dhad par gaj ka sar laga diya. unako pratham poojya ka varadaan mila iseeliye sarvapratham ganesh ki pooja hoti hai.

sumukh, ekadant, Kapil, gajakarnak, lanbodar, vikt, vighn-naash,vinaayak, dhoomraketu, ganaadhyaksh, bhaalachandr, gajaanan. uprokt dvaadash naam naarad puraan me pehli baar ganesh ke dvaadash naamavali me aaya hai| vidyaarambh tath vivaah ke poojan ke pratham me in naamo se ganapati ke araadhana ka vidhaan hai|

jyotish ke anusaar

jyotishshaastr ke anusaar ganeshaji ko ketu ke roop me jaana jaata hai, ketu ek chhaaya grah hai, jo raahu naamak chhaaya grah se hamesha virodh me rahata hai, bina virodh ke gyaan nahi aata hai aur bina gyaan ke mukti nahi hai, ganeshaji ko maanane vaalon ka mukhya prayojan unako sarvatr dekhna hai, ganesh agar saadhan hai to sansaar ke pratyek kan me vah vidyamaan hai. udaaharan ke liye to jo saadhan hai vahi ganesh hai, jeevan ko chalaane ke liye anaaj ki aavashyakta hoti hai, jeevan ko chalaane ka saadhan anaaj hai, to anaaj ganesh hai, anaaj ko paida karne ke liye kisaan ki aavashyakta hoti hai, to kisaan ganesh hai, kisaan ko anaaj bone aur nikaalne ke liye bailon ki aavashyakta hoti hai to bail bhi ganesh hai, anaaj bone ke liye khet ki aavashyakta hoti hai, to khet ganesh hai, anaaj ko rakhane ke liye bhandaaran sthaan ki aavashyakta hoti hai to bhandaaran ka sthaan bhi ganesh hai, anaaj ke ghar me aane ke baad use pees kar chakki ki aavashyakta hoti hai to chakki bhi ganesh hai, chakki se nikaalkar roti banaane ke liye tave, cheemate aur roti banaane vaale ki aavashyakta hoti hai, to yeh sabhi ganesh hai, khaane ke liye haathon ki aavashyakta hoti hai, to haath bhi ganesh hai, muainh me khaane ke liye daaainton ki aavashyakta hoti hai, to daaaint bhi ganesh hai, kehne ke liye jo bhi saadhan jeevan me prayog kiye jaate ve sabhi ganesh hai, akele shankar paarvate ke putr aur devata hi nahi.
