gaayatri mahaamantr (Speaker Icon.svgsunein Film-Camera.pngdekhein) vedon ka ek mahattvapoorn mantra hai jiski mahatta Om ke lagbhag baraabar maani jaati hai. yeh yajurved ke mantra Om bhoorbhuv: sv: aur rigved ke chhand 3.62.10 ke mel se bana hai. is mantra mein savitr Dave ki upaasana hai isliye ise saavitri bhi kaha jaata hai. aisa maana jaata hai ki is mantra ke uchchaaran aur ise samajhne se ishvar ki praapti hoti hai.

'gaayatri' ek chhand bhi hai jo rigved ke saat prasiddh chhandon mein ek hai. in saat chhandon ke naam hain-gaayatri, ushnik, anushtup, bruhati, viraat, trishtup aur jagati. gaayatri chhand mein aath-aath aksharon ke teen charan hote hain. rigved ke mantron mein trishtup ko chhodkar sabse adhik sankhya gaayatri chhandon ki hai. gaayatri ke teen pad hote hain (tripda vai gaayatri). ataev jab chhand ya vaak ke roop mein srushti ke prateek ki kalpana ki jaane lagi tab is vishv ko tripda gaayatri ka svaroop maana gaya. jab gaayatri ke roop mein jeevan ki prateekaatmak vyaakhya hone lagi tab gaayatri chhand ki badhti hui mahita ke anuroop vishesh mantra ki rachana hui, jo is prakaar hai:

mantra ke is roop ko manu ne sapranava, savyaahrutika gaayatri kaha hai aur jap mein isi ka vidhaan kiya hai.

vividh dharm-sampradaayon magaayatri mahaamantr ka bhaav

paarasi - vah paramaguru (ahuramajd-parameshvar) apne rit tatha satya ke bhandaar ke kaaran, raaja ke samaan mahaan hai. ishvar ke naam par kiye gaye paropakaaron se manushya prabhu prem ka paatr banta hai.

daao (taao) - daao (brahm) chintan tatha pakad se pare hai. keval usi ke anusaar aacharan hi u8aam dharm hai.

jain - arhanton ko namaskaar, siddhon ko namaskaar, aachaaryon ko namaskaar, upaadhyaayon ko namaskaar tatha sab saadhuon ko namaskaar.

bauddh dharm - main buddh ki sharan mein jaata hooain, main dharm ki sharan mein jaata hooain, main sangh ki sharan mein jaata hooain.

kanafyooshas - doosaron ke prati vaisa vyavahaar na karo, jaisa ki tum unase apne prati naheen chaahate.

isaai - he pita, hamein pareeksha mein na daal, parantu buraai se bacha kyonki raajya, paraakram tatha mahima sada teri hi hai.

islaam - he Allah, ham teri hi vandana karte tatha tujhi se sahaayata chaahate hain. hamein seedha maarg dikha, un logon ka maarg, jo tere krupaapaatr bane, na ki unka, jo tere kopabhaajan bane tatha pathabhrasht hue.

sikh - omkaar (ishvar) ek hai. usaka naam satya hai. vah srushtikrta, samarth purush, nirbhaya, rnivair, janmarahit tatha svayanbhoo hai. vah guru ki krupa se jaana jaata hai.

gaayatri upaasana ka vidhi-vidhaan

gaayatri upaasana kabhi bhi, kisi bhi sthiti mein ki ja sakti hai. har sthiti mein yeh laabhadaayi hai, parantu vidhipoorvak bhaavana se jude nyoonatam karmakaandon ke saath ki gayi upaasana ati faladaayi maani gayi hai. teen maala gaayatri mantra ka jap aavashyak maana gaya hai. shauch-snaan se nivrutt hokar niyat sthaan, niyat samay par, sukhaasan mein baithakar nitya gaayatri upaasana ki jaani chaahiye.

upaasana ka vidhi-vidhaan is prakaar hai -

(1) brahm sandhya - jo shareer va man ko pavitra banaane ke liye ki jaati hai. iske antargat paaainch krutya karne hote hain.

(a) pavitreekaran - baaeain haath mein jal lekar use daahine haath se dhaink lein evam mantrochchaaran ke baad jal ko sir tatha shareer par chhidk lein.

(b) aachaman - vaani, man va ant:karan ki shuddhi ke liye chammach se teen baar jal ka aachaman karein. har mantra ke saath ek aachaman kiya jaae.

Om amrutaapidhaanamasi svaaha.
Om satyan yash: shreermayi shree: shrayataan svaaha.

(s) shikha sparsh evam vandan - shikha ke sthaan ko sparsh karte hue bhaavana karein ki gaayatri ke is prateek ke maadhyam se sada sadvichaar hi yahaaain sthaapit raheinge. nimn mantra ka uchchaaran karein.

(the) praanaayaam - shvaas ko dheemi gati se gahari kheenchakar rokana va baahar nikaalna praanaayaam ke kram mein aata hai. shvaas kheenchne ke saath bhaavana karein ki praan shakti, shreshthata shvaas ke dvaara andar kheenchi ja rahi hai, chhodte samay yeh bhaavana karein ki hamaare durgun, dushpravruttiyaaain, bure vichaar prashvaas ke saath baahar nikal rahe hain. praanaayaam nimn mantra ke uchchaaran ke saath kiya jaae.

(ya) nyaas - iska prayojan hai-shareer ke sabhi mahattvapoorn angon mein pavitrata ka samaavesh tatha ant: ki chetna ko jagaana taaki Dave-poojan jaisa shreshth krutya kiya ja sake. baaeain haath ki hatheli mein jal lekar daahine haath ki paaainchon uaingaliyon ko unamein bhigokar bataae gaye sthaan ko mantrochchaar ke saath sparsh karein.

aatmashodhan ki brahm sandhya ke uparokt paaainchon krutyon ka bhaav yeh hai ki saaaadhak mein pavitrata evam prakharata ki abhivruddhi ho tatha malinta-avaanchhaneeyata ki nivrutti ho. pavitra-prakhar vyakti hi Bhagwan ke darbaar mein pravesh ke adhikaari hote hain.

(2) devapoojan - gaayatri upaasana ka aadhaar kendra mahaaprajnyaa-ritambhara gaayatri hai. unka prateek chitr susajjit pooja ki vedi par sthaapit kar unka nimn mantra ke maadhyam se aavaahan karein. bhaavana karein ki saadhak ki praarthana ke anuroop maaain gaayatri ki shakti vahaaain avatarit ho, sthaapit ho rahi hai.

(kh) guru - guru paramaatma ki divya chetna ka ansh hai, jo saadhak ka maargadarshan karta hai. sadguru ke roop mein poojya gurudev evam vandaneeya maataaji ka abhivandan karte hue upaasana ki safalta hetu guru aavaahan nimn mantrochchaaran ke saath karein.

(g) maaain gaayatri va guru satta ke aavaahan va naman ke pashchaat devapoojan mein ghanishthata sthaapit karne hetu panchopachaar dvaara poojan kiya jaata hai. inhein vidhivt sampann karein. jal, akshat, pushp, dhoop-deep tatha naivedya prateek ke roop mein aaraadhya ke samaksh prastut kiye jaate hain. ek-ek karke chhoti tashtari mein in paaainchon ko samarpit karte chalein. jal ka arth hai - namrata-sahrudayata. akshat ka arth hai - samayadaan anshadaan. pushp ka arth hai - prasannata-aantarik ullaas. dhoop-deep ka arth hai - sugandh va prakaash ka vitran, punya-paramaarth tatha naivedya ka arth hai - svabhaav va vyavahaar mein madhurata-shaaleenata ka samaavesh.

ye paaainchon upachaar vyaktitv ko satpravruttiyon se sampann karne ke liye kiye jaate hain. karmakaand ke peechhe bhaavana mahattvapoorn hai.

(3) jap - gaayatri mantra ka jap nyoonatam teen maala arthaat ghadi se praay: pandrah minute niyamit roop se kiya jaae. adhik ban pade, to adhik uttam. hoth hilte rahein, kintu aavaaj itni mand ho ki paas baithe vyakti bhi sun na sakein. jap prakriya kashaaya-kalmashon-kusanskaaron ko dhone ke liye ki jaati hai.

(4) dhyaan - jap to ang-avayav karte hain, man ko dhyaan mein niyojit karna hota hai. saakaar dhyaan mein gaayatri maata ke anchal ki chhaaya mein baithane tatha unka dulaar bhara pyaar anvarat roop se praapt hone ki bhaavana ki jaati hai. niraakaar dhyaan mein gaayatri ke devata savita ki prabhaatakaaleen svarnim kirnon ko shareer par barasane va shareer mein shraddha-prajnyaa-nishtha roopi anudaan utarane ki bhaavana ki jaati hai, jap aur dhyaan ke samanvaya se hi chitt ekaagr hota hai aur aatmasatta par us kriya ka mahattvapoorn prabhaav bhi padta hai.

(5) sooryaarghyadaan - visrjan-jap samaapti ke pashchaat pooja vedi par rakhe chhote kalash ka jal soorya ki disha mein raghya roop mein nimn mantra ke uchchaaran ke saath chadhaaya jaata hai.

Om sooryadev! sahasraansho, tejoraashe jagatpate.
anukampaya maan bhaktya gruhaanaarghyan divaakar.
Om sooryaaya nam:, aadityaaya nam:, bhaaskaraaya nam:.

bhaavana yeh karein ki jal aatm satta ka prateek hai evam soorya viraat brahm ka tatha hamaari satta-sampada samashti ke liye samarpit-visrjit ho rahi hai.

itna sab karne ke baad pooja sthal par devataaon ko karabaddh natamastak ho namaskaar kiya jaae va sab vastuon ko sametakar yathaasthaan rakh diya jaae. jap ke liye maala tulasi ya chandan ki hi leni chaahiye. sooryodaya se do ghante poorv se sooryaast ke ek ghante baad tak kabhi bhi gaayatri upaasana ki ja sakti hai. maun-maanasik jap chaubees ghante kiya ja sakta hai. maala japate samay tarjani ungali ka upayog na karein tatha sumeru ka ullanghan na karein.
