vruk ya bhediya ek kutte ke roop ka jangali jaanavar hai. vaigyaanik najriye se bhediya kainidaae (canidae) pashu parivaar ka sabse bade shareer wala sadasya hai. kisi jmaane mein bhediye poore yooreshiya, uttar Africa aur uttar America mein paae jaate the lekin manushyon ki aabaadi mein badhautari ke saath ab inka kshretr pehle se bahut kam ho gaya hai. jab bhediyon aur kutton par anuvaanshiki adhyayan kiya gaya to paaya gaya ke kutton ki nasl bhediyon se hi nikli hui hain, yaani dasiyon hajaar varsh pehle praacheen manushyon ne kuchh bhediyon ko paalatoo bana liya tha jinse kutton ke vansh ki shuruaat hui.

bhediye ek nar aur ek maada ke parivaaron mein rahate hain jismein unke bachche bhi palate hain. yeh bhi dekha gaya hai ke kabhi-kabhi bhediyon ke kisi parivaar ke nar-maada kisi anya bhediyon ke anaath bachchon ko bhi sharan dekar unhein paalne lagte hain. bhediyon ka shikaar karne ka tareeka saamaajik hota hai - yeh akele shikaar naheen karte, balki giroh banaakar hiran-gaaya jaise charane vaale jaanvaron ka shikaar karte hain. bhediye apne kshetr mein shikhar ke shikaari hote hain jinhein manushyon aur sharon ko chhodkar aur kisi se chunauti naheen hoti.
