"prabhaakar meemaansa" mein maana gaya hai ki arth ka gyaan keval shabd se naheen, vidhivaakya se hota hai. jo shabd kisi aajnyaaaparak vaakya mein aaya ho usi shabd ki saarthakata hai. vaakya se bahishkrut shabd ka koi arth naheen. "ghada" shabd ka tab tak koi arth naheen hai jab tak iska ("ghada laao" jaise aajnyaaarthak) vaakya mein prayog naheen hua hai. isi siddhaant ko anvitaabhidhaanavaad kehte hain.

is siddhaant ke anusaar jab shabd aajnyaaarthak vaakya mein anya shabdon se anvit (sambandhit) hota hai tabhi vah arthavishesh ka abhidhaan karta hai. pratyek shabd arth ka bodh karaane mein aksham hai kintu vyavahaar ke kaaran shabd ka arth seemit ho jaata hai. shabdaarth ki is seema ka gyaan vyavahaar se hi hoga aur bhaasha mein vyavahaar vaakya ke maadhyam se hi vyakt hota hai, at: shabd ka arth vaakya par avalanbit rahata hai. is siddhaant ke anusaar vaakya hi bhaasha ki ikaai hai. nyaaya mein iske vipreet abhihitaanvayavaad ka pratipaadan kiya gaya hai.
