aitareya aaranyak aitareya braahman ka antim khand hai. "braahman" ke teen khand hote hain jinmein pratham khand to braahman hi hota hai jo mukhya ansh ke roop mein gruheet kiya jaata hai. "aaranyak" granth ka doosra ansh hota hai tatha "upanishd" teesara. kabhi-kabhi upanishd aaranyak ka hi ansh hota hai aur kabhi kabhi vah aaranyak se ekdam pruthak granth ke roop mein pratishthit hota hai. aitareya aaranyak apne bheetar "aitareya upanishd" ko bhi antarbhukt kiye hue hai.

sanrachana evam varnya-vishay

aitareya aranyak ke paaainch avaantar khand hain jo swayam aaranyak ke naam se hi abhihit kiye jaate hain. ye paaainchon aaranyak vastut pruthak granth maane jaate hain. aaj bhi shraavani ke avsar par rigvedi log in avaantar aaranyakon ke aadya padon ka paath svatantr roop se karte hain jo inke svatantr granth maanane ka pramaan maana ja sakta hai.

granth ke pratham aaranyak mein "mahaavrat" ka varnan hai jo aitareya braahman ke "gavaamayan" ka hi ek ansh hai. dviteeya aaranyak ke antim teen adhyaayon mein (chaturth se lekar shashth adhyaaya tak) aitareya upanishd hai. truteeya aaranyak ko "sanhitopanishd" bhi kehte hain, kyonki ismein sanhita, pad aur kram paathon ka varnan tatha svar, vyanjan aadi ke svaroop ka vivechan hai. chaturth aaranyak mein mahaavrat ke pancham din mein prayukt honevaali mahaanaamni richaaeain di gayi hain aur antim aaranyak mein nishkevalya shaastr ka varnan poore granth ki samaapti karta hai.

rachayita evam rachana-kaal

in aaranyakon mein pratham teen ke rachayita aitareya, chaturth ke aashvalaayan tatha pancham ke shaunak maane jaate hain. aitareya aaranyak ke rachanaakaal ke vishay mein vidvaanon mein aikamatya naheen hai. daaktar keeth ise yaaskarachit nirukt se arvaacheen maankar iska samay shashth shati vikramapoorv maanate hain, parantu vaastav mein yeh nirukt se praacheenatar hai. aitareya braahman ki rachana karanevaale mahidaas aitareya hi is aaranyak ke pratham teen anshon ke bhi rachayita hain. falat: aitareya aaranyak ko aitareya braahman ka samakaaleen maanana yuktiyukt hai. is aaranyak ko nirukt se praacheen maanane ka kaaran yeh hai ki iske truteeya khand ka pratipaadya vishay, jo vaidik vyaakaran hai, praatishaakhya tatha nirukt donon ke tadvishyak vivran se ni:sandeh praacheen hai.

inhein bhi dekhein
