ooainchaai se vaayuyaan dvaara aakaash ka drushya

kisi bhi khagoleeya pind (jaise dharati) ke vaahya antariksh ka vah bhaag jo us pind ke satah se dikhaai deta hai, vahi aakaash (sky) hai. anek kaaranon se ise paribhaashit karna kathin hai. din ke prakaash mein pruthvi ka aakaash gahre-neele rang ke satah jaisa prateet hota hai jo hava ke kanon dvaara prakaash ke prakeernan ke parinaamasvaroop ghatit hota hai. jabki raatri mein hame dharati ka aakaash taaron se bhara hua kaale rang ka satah jaisa jaan padta hai.

aasmaan ka rang uske nahi hote hai. soorya se aane vaale prakaash jab aakaash mein upasthit dhul ityaadi se milta hai to vah fail jaata hai. neela rang ka taragadherya ke kaaran anya rango ki apeksha adhik failata hai.

bhaarateeya dharm-darshan mein aakaash

praacheen bhaarateeya dharm granthon ke anusaar srushti ka nirmaan paanch tatvon se hua maana jaata hai jinmein ki ek aakaash hai (baaki chaar hain-pruthvi, vaayu, jal, agni). yadi tulana ki jaae to bhaarateeya dharm-darshan mein varnit aakaash ki avadhaarana vartamaan vaigyaanik gyaan aur shabdaavali ke ek ayaam "sthaan" (space) ke nikat prateet hota hai. iska ek udaaharan ashtaavakr geeta ka nimn shlok hain-

ekan sarvagatan vyom bahirntaryatha ghate | nityan nirntaran brahm sarvabhootagane tatha ||1- 20||[1]

jis prakaar ek hi sarvavyaapak aakaash ghade ke andar va baahar hai, usi prakaar sada sthir (sada vidyamaan) va sada gatimaan (sada rahane wala) brahm sabhi bhooton (all existence) mein hai.

tajjnyaasya punyapaapaabhyaan sparsho hyantarn jaayate | na hyaakaashasya dhoomen drushyamaanaapi saङagati: ||4- 3||[2]

use (brahm ko) jaanane wala apne ant: mein paap va punya ko sparsh naheen karta, yeh aisa hi hai jaise oopar se kitna hi prateet ho kintu vaastav mein dhuaan kabhi aakaash ko sparsh naheen karta.
